It was in 1983 when Jeff Luif, along with his brother George, a skilled recording engineer, and father joined forces to open Star Trax Recording. It didn’t take long for Star Trax to build up a strong client list and become one of the most successful recording studios in the Chicagoland area. 

With 30 years of experience in the music business and 3 Gold Records, 

Star Trax Music Production clientele has run the gamut from Rock and Roll to Heavy Metal to R&B to House Music to Country Western to Commercial Recording. This includes major label artists such as Janet Jackson, INSX, Taylor Dane, Movie Soundtracks, and HGTV. Jeffs credits include serving as the mix specialist for 32 major-label projects.
