Rock This Town is a high-energy Rock anthem that describes the emotions and give & take energy at a rock concert from the performer’s perspective. It asks the audience to join in on the celebration and enjoy the show.  As the opening song at an M&R Rush concert it gets the audience on their feet and involved from the very first note as it sets the tone for the excitement that follows.  Recorded in the spring of 2023 at StarTrax Productions in Mokena, IL, Rock This Town comes out of the gate with blazing guitars, a slamming bass and drum rhythm section, melodic keyboards and soaring vocals.  

Written by John, the first idea for the song happened by chance as he was warming up at an M&R Rush rehearsal and started playing the opening guitar riff.  John grabbed his phone and captured the moment.   

Months later as the band began preparing and writing for a new project, John resurrected the idea and completed the music. Next came the lyrics.   Taking the vantage point of the performer, the verses welcome the audience while the bridge describes the visual show and lets the audience know that there are no pre-recorded tracks used during the live shows.
