Keep On Rockin' 2025 Remix

Originally from the CD "Keep On Rockin'"

Keep On Rockin’ was written by John, and the lead vocals are handled by Jeff. It is a straight-ahead power pop track with blazing guitars, powerful lead vocal and soaring melodic harmony vocals.

Keep On Rockin' jumps out of your speakers with a powerful guitar riff and thundering rhythm section. As the song continues and the first bridge and first chorus arrive, you are hit with soaring, layered vocal harmonies reminiscent of Foreigner, Queen and Journey.

The lyrics are a message to the listener stating the fact that although the band has been together for decades we have not lost our drive and fire to create new, meaningful music. We still have the same ambition we had when the band was first formed.

The Johnny that is referenced in the lyrics was inspired by a conversation that John McFarland had with Johnny Panozzo from the Chicago band Styx.

I remember when Johnny said
“They can’t ignore you forever”
He said, “Keep your eye on the prize,
And don’t let go”

Keep on Rockin’
Cause the fire is still the same
We gotta Keep on Rockin’
We’re not ready to leave this game. No No No
